Sery Mo

Srey Mo and her sister live in an orphanage in Cambodia. Her father died from HIV/AIDS. The mother has been unable to care for the children and they were given to the orphanage. Before the father died he used to burn both the daughters with cigarettes on their arms and legs. Because of that physical and mental trauma both children have had difficulty dealing with men. When Dr. Renner attempted to do needed dental work several years ago Srey Mo would not allow him to perform the dental procedures because she was afraid of what he would do to her. It took us three years before she trusted us to remove some badly infected teeth this year. She says when she grows up she wishes to be a doctor.
